A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... enough money within her control to move out and rent a place of her own, even if she never wants to or needs to...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... something perfect to wear if the employer, or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE... a youth she's content to leave behind....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE... a past juicy enough that she's looking forward to re telling it in her old age....

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... a set of screwdrivers, a cordless drill, and a black lace bra...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE... one friend who always makes her laugh.. and one who lets her cry...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE ... a good piece of furniture not previously owned by anyone else in her family...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE... eight matching plates, wine glasses with stems, and a recipe for a meal, that will make her guests feel honored...

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE... a feeling of control over her destiny..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... how to fall in love without losing herself..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... how to quit a job, break up with a lover, and confront a friend without; ruining the friendship...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... when to try harder... and WHEN TO WALK AWAY...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... that she can't change the length of her calves, the width of her hips, or the nature of her parents..

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... that her childhood may not have been perfect...but it's over...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... what she would and wouldn't do for love or more...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... how to live alone... even if she doesn't like it...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... whom she can trust, whom she can't, and why she shouldn't take it personally...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... where to go... be it to her best friend's kitchen table.. or a charming Inn in the woods. ... when her soul needs soothing...

EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW... What she can and can't accomplish in a day... a month...and a year...

Please Please say a lil prayer....

I just been flippin thru photos of Hurricane Ike's aftermath and oh my gosh!!! Please say a prayer for those affected by this.
This photo really tugs at my heart strings, not sure who they are but I just tear up when I see these photos.

Matthew Harris, 12, hugs his mother Karen Harris as they wait in line to board a bus that will take them off of Galveston, Texas, Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008. Hurricane Ike knocked out all services and officials are evacuating all residents that rode out the storm.

Skyler's latest adventures...

The Beaver County Fair was the 6th of September. The day started with the parade, which we watched Abby march in the school band. Then off to the fairgrounds for a BBQ and other fun. There we watched the Tractor Pull, which was kinda neat.

Then Skyler spotted the giant air filled things that you jump on and slide thingies... hard to explain. But he really really wanted to ride these "ice chest scooter" things. So he tried his had at it. (red ice chest) Needless to say he's not a very good driver. After he ran into the side twice he was ready to get off! LOL

I have to introduce you to.......

My new "grand puppy"!!!!!!!! lol He's so cute! Derek just rolls his eyes when I say "grandpuppy". Derek got him about 2 weeks ago, he's a Lab/Retriever mix. He brought him by on his way home and Skyler named him Rex!

Rex goes every where with Derek, Skyler loves it when they come to visit. Skyler was riding his new bike around the shop the other day and told me "Mom you better get your grandpuppy out of the way!" LOL It's catching on!

Rex sleeps with Derek. He lays beside his head and lays his lil puppy head on Derek's neck and shoulder. I asked Derek if he was still going to get to sleep there when Rex weighs 50 pounds more than he does now!

Ah hemmmm

Well I guess I walked away from my blog for a year! WOW! I'm not even going to try to go back and recap it all.

I did make some updated changes for my "new" blog!

The picture on the header is "Pepper" and her new baby "Lightning". He was born in April and was originally a twin but lost his sister during birthing. In the back ground is the other mama "Coon" and her baby "Gambler", he was born about 10 days before Lightning.

I hope you will come back often as I will try to keep up this time!
